was nominated in the Golden Horse Awards and it will be releasing in Malaysia on 31 October

Kuala Lumpur, 1 October 2019 : The movie <Nina Wu>, co-produced by Jazzy Pictures (Malaysia), Seashore Image Productions (Taiwan) and Myanmar Montage Pictures (Myanmar) is highly regarded in the international movie industry. It was nominated in the 72^nd Cannes International Film Festival under the [Un Certain Regard] selection, the film held its world premiere screening in Cannes. Besides, the 56^th Golden Horse Awards announced that <Nina Wu> was nominated for eight award categories: best director, best original film score, best original film song, best cinematography, best original screenplay, best makeup & costume design, best art direction and best sound effects. Jazzy Pictures had arranged the film to be released in Malaysia on 31 October. In addition, the film also participated in other acclaimed international film festivals, such as the 24th Busan International Film Festival, the 21st Taipei Film Festival, and the 3rd Malaysia International Film Festival.

<Nina Wu> was recently invited as the opening film of the Malaysia International Film Festival in July, and unfortunately Sung Yu Hua was absent for the event due to her packed schedule. As they were only three screenings were shown during the film festival, which led many Malaysian audiences unable to watch the recent movie of Director Midi Z. Therefore, Jazzy Pictures decided to bring this movie to meet with the Malaysian audience by screening it under the International Screens in Malaysia. The movie will be released at the cinema locations: GSC Mid Valley, GSC Pavilion, GSC 1 Utama, GSC Gurney Plaza and GSC Paradigm Mall (Johor Bahru).

<Nina Wu> has been well known and praised in the international movie market. It’s participation in the Cannes Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Taipei Film Festival, Malaysia International Film Festival and other international film festivals are the most powerful proof of the fact. The team travelled to Cannes for its world premiere screening and promotional activities, which included: Director Midi Z, Casts Wu Ke-Xi, Sung Yu Hua, Hsia Yu Chiao, Executive Producer Joanne Goh, producer and the movie crews. Other than that, the team also travelled to Taipei for it’s Opening Film screening. In addition, the movie has been released in Taipei recently and it also highly praised by the audience.
