Johor Bahru, 29 March 2019Healthy competition is good for the industry and for customers. Embodying this philosophy, the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Dealer of the Year Awards returned for second year. The prize giving ceremony that took place earlier this month saw representatives from nine dealer groups of varying sizes and capacities gather to honour excellence within the Mercedes-Benz network across Malaysia.

This year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduced a new category namely the Most Improved Dealer to the six existing awards, i.e., Best Performance in Sales, Best Performance Customer Services, Best Performance in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Customer Loyalty Index (CLI), Best Performance in Business Excellence, Best Performance in Financial Services, and the ultimate – The Dealer of the Year 2018. Held at the Renaissance Hotel in Johor Bahru, the awards proved to be fair game for all 35 authorised dealers from nine dealer groups vying for recognition following a successful 2018.

Highlighting the exceptional performance of its dealer partners, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, President and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner, said, “These exceptional accomplishments are attributed by Putting our Customers at the Centre of our Activities. The JAC X30 with gross weight of 2,835kg offers remarkable durability, accessibility and performance. The X30 is equipped with the 4DA1 diesel engine that produces 108hp and 240N.m torque. The technological advancement in the X30 is the Load- Sensing Proportional Valve system device that provides the customers with superior quality braking system which can be adjusted accordingly. The mini-kiosk demonstrates a smart solution where users can select a petrol station, key in the amount of fuel that they would like to purchase and once they arrive at the kiosk, a camera will detect the car plate number to activate the pump. Tourism City, Busan boasts its charms at 2019 BCTPS - Busan, Striving to Attract Southeast Asian Tourists






On March 25th, Busan hosted the 2019 Busan Tourism Network Conference in Kuala Lumpur in order to expand the tourism market.


Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor OH Keo-don) and the Busan Tourism Organization co-hosted the 2019 Busan Tourism Network Conference in the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, the Southeast Asian emerging market, on March 25th, 2019.

Malaysia is a cofounder of ASEAN and a leading country in the development of Southeast Asia. In order to attract more Malaysians to Busan, the City of Busan and BTO have rigorously carried out tourism fairs and MICE road shows in Malaysia. They have also participated in diverse tourism exhibitions and invited tourism experts to Busan. Since the Korean Wave is very popular in Malaysia, the total number of passengers to Busan from Malaysia has increased from 57,820 in 2017 to 69,065 in 2018, up 19.4%.




Local travel agencies, media outlets and journalists joined and had an opportunity take a glimpse at Busan’s diverse tourism resources. Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Tourismand Culture Ministry and major figures from government and business also partook and committed to active bilateral cooperation and the further expansion of relations.

The seminar kicked off with a promotional video showcasing Busan’s beautifulnatural environments, delicious cuisine as well as diverse activities, while a presentation introducing the shooting locations of famous Korean dramas and thecity’s all-year-round festivals followed. At the B2B section, 180 outbound travel agencies participated and discussed substantive cooperative projects. The Busan Metropolitan Dance Company prepared a special performance to promote Busan’sKorean Wave, which drew plenty of applause.

Mayor OH Keo-don and the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Nor Hisham A Dahlan had a meeting and discussed substantive cooperative measures within the tourism, MICE and smart city sectors. Mayor OH also met Mr. Benyamin Ismail, CEO of Air Asia X、 and proposed developing tourism products and supportive incentives for in and outbound travel agencies.

Special prizes were also awarded to 5 outbound travel agencies in Malaysia to commend their devotion in attracting tourists to Busan. He emphasized their role in boosting exchanges and encouraged them to continue to actively engage in promoting tourism.

In an interview, an official from Busan said, “Last year, we had 440,000 tourists from 6 Southeast Asian countries, the number is second only to Japan. Every week, 26 flights connect Busan and the 2 major states of Malaysia. The Korean Wave is booming in Malaysia, so I hope this makesMalaysians visit Busan more.”

Busan Metropolitan City plans to develop tailored tourism products for Southeast Asiantourists by fully utilizing Busan’s excellent tourism contents: the Korean Wave, beauty,healing and festivals. Busan will also strive to expand Halal restaurants and prayer rooms, so that Southeast Asian tourists can feel comfortable and enjoy Busan to its fullest.

The Largest Private Healthcare and Wellness Resort is coming soon in Langkawi to Boost the Leisure, Wellness and Medical Tourism in Malaysia.





KUALA LUMPUR, 25 APRILThe Royaal Bumbon Resort Holding (M) Sdn Bhd signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Resort Savers Inc to develop a high-end healthcare centre in Bumbon Island, Langkawi. With the honorable presence of Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat, the MOU signing ceremony successfully ended at the Four Seasons Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 24 March 2019 (Sunday).
                 
With the witness by Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat, Dato’ Sri Dr. Santhana Kumaar (representative from Royaal Bumbon Resort Holding (M) Sdn Bhd), signed the MOU with Dato’ Sri Chang Ding Shin (representative from Resort Savers Inc), Dr. Choi Jeong Min (representative from CancerROP) and Dato’ Dr. Azman Ching (representative from Weber PDT Cancer and Heart Therapy Wellness Center) to give this project a kick off.

There are many VIP guests and international delegates from France, United States of America, Korea, Taiwan and more were invited to celebrate the ceremony and the announcement of the project.

This 92 acres island with RM 1.2 billion investment, besides being sustainable, aims to build a resort that blend perfectly with the ecosystem that will boost more than 10% responsible tourism for Langkawi - making it a state of art wellness center and international preferred destination. Moreover, under Phase 2 of the project development is designed to welcome high end MM2H residents.
