Memorandum of Understanding Between Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and Malaysia Bahrain Economic Cooperation Chamber (MBECC) Witnessed By His Highness The Crown Prince of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj (Royal Patron of Selangor Youth Community)
SELANGOR, 4 APRIL 2019 – A memorandum of understanding between Selangor Youth Community (SAY) and Malaysia Bahrain Economic Cooperation Chamber (MBECC) was held in conjunction with The 16th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2019. This event was witnessed by His Highness The Crown Prince of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj who is also the Founder and Royal Patron of Selangor Youth Community.
His Highness The Crown Prince of Selangor, through Selangor Youth Community, aspires for youth entrepreneurs to penetrate the overseas market especially the Halal industry by focusing on the Gulf market especially Bahrain due to the underdeveloped yet promising bilateral economic relationship.
His Highness also believes that this Memorandum of Understanding is the first step towards materialising this vision. Among the sectors to be tapped include construction, halal related industry as well as Islamic banking or financing.Among other witnesses of the ceremony are:

During the event as well, His Highness The Crown Prince of Selangor has also officiated the International Fulfilment Hub, an initiative to gather youth entrepreneurs through a one-stop centre that acts as a catalyst to spur the export activities among the entrepreneurs.
It is hoped that this Memorandum of Understanding will be the first of many steps taken to accelerate the growth of youth entrepreneurs to become global champions

Selangor Youth Community (SAY) is a non is a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organisation. Inspired by the Raja Muda of Selangor’s vision for his state to be a vibrant and dynamic youth community, SAY Community aspires to provide an avenue to connect Selangor youth to development opportunities. Entrepreneurship Selangor (ES) is Selangor Youth Community’s latest initiative that aims to identify gaps in existing entrepreneurship ecosystems and craft bridging programmes to connect all stakeholders to accelerate the growth of Selangor youth entrepreneurs to become global champions while promoting an inclusive business for all entrepreneurs from all walks of life. There are four focus areas under the organisation which are Community Service, Sports and Health, Arts and Creative as well as Entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship Selangor is SAY’s latest theme under the Entrepreneurship division. Under His Highness’s stewardship, Entrepreneurship Selangor aims to identify gaps in existing entrepreneurship ecosystems and craft bridging programmes to connect all stakeholders to accelerate the growth of Selangor youth entrepreneurs to become global champions while promoting an inclusive business for all entrepreneurs from all walks of life. To date, Entrepreneurship Selangor has assisted 5 companies to penetrate 5 countries with an increase of revenue of nearly RM2.45million within 9 months while also generating roughly RM3Miliion worth of export leads. Among these countries include Hong Kong, Brunei, Japan, Indonesia as well as Dubai.Entrepreneurship Selangor works closely with various stakeholders to ensure His Highness’s vision to produce global champions can be materialized
Malaysia Bahrain Economic Cooperation Chamber (MBECC) is an organisation inaugurated on 8 May 2017 further to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) on 2 May 2017.
The chamber will also assist Malaysian entrepreneurs to penetrate Bahraini market through strategic economic and trading ties, as well as a wider network with the relevant stakeholders there. The chamber, led by YBhg Dato Ambassador (r) Ahmad Shahizan Abd Samad, the former Ambassador of Malaysia to Bahrain, will continue to progressively seek new business opportunities that will spur the economic development from both countries.
