Putrajaya , 6 March 2019: The Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia (MOTAC), the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) and the Department of National Arts and Culture (JKKN) will organize the 8th world Summit on Arts and Culture from 11 to 14 March 2109 at the KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) in Sentul , Kuala Lumpur .
The Summit's theme is mobile Minds: Culture , Knowledge and Change and is inspired by Malaysia's rich diverse cultures as well as unique traditions.
The Summit aims to provide inspiration on how global changes in the society , technology ,politics and the environment impact culture and the creative eco-systems .In addition the conference provides a platform to examine the different perspectives on how governments and policymakers seek to strike a balance between current and transformation of the society .
Meanwhile ,welcome Remarks by YBhg.Tan Sri Norliza Rofli, Director General of JKKN and the Opening Keynote Address will be presented by Prof .Karima Bennoune -United Nation Special Rapporteur on Culture Rights.
Over 400 Participants from 70 countries will attend the conference , to be held for the first time in the country ,in addition , a total of 93 moderators and keynote speakers will present various issues during the summit .
Through this Summit ,it is hoped that new ideas and solutions arising from the views and knowledge
sharing by creative minds academicians, researchers ,Policy makers and all involved in the arts and culture sector around the world will be discovered , the aim is to inject excitement and drive the creative industry sector in our country at the global level .
